Founder’s Day Ghana 2026: MIDAS Celebrates Vision, Skills and Service

Today, 21 September 2026, Ghana marks Founder’s Day, a statutory public holiday observed across the country.

At MIDAS Skill Development & Training Center, we join Ghanaians in commemorating the day with a message centred on vision, courage and service.

Founder’s Day also gives institutions, communities and individuals an opportunity to reflect on the kind of future they want to help build.

At MIDAS, that future includes young people who have the practical skills, confidence and discipline to pursue meaningful opportunities.

Celebrating Founder’s Day Ghana 2026

Founder’s Day falls on 21 September in Ghana’s 2026 statutory public holiday calendar.

For MIDAS, today’s commemoration connects naturally with our commitment to skills development.

Progress requires ideas and vision. However, it also requires people who can turn ideas into useful work.

That is why practical education remains important.

Whether a learner is developing skills in sewing, garment construction, design or another vocational area, every new ability can create opportunities for personal growth and contribution to the wider community.

A Skilled Generation Can Build a Stronger Ghana

Our message for Founder’s Day is simple:

“A skilled generation builds a stronger Ghana.”

Practical skills can help young people become more confident and productive.

For example, vocational training can support pathways into employment, entrepreneurship, self-employment or further education.

In addition, practical learning encourages learners to solve problems, work with others and improve through consistent practice.

At MIDAS, we see these qualities develop through hands-on training.

Learners work with real materials, tools and equipment. They also learn by observing, practising and improving step by step.

Practical Learning and Brighter Futures

Skills development does not happen through theory alone.

Instead, learners benefit when they have opportunities to practise what they are taught.

At MIDAS, hands-on vocational training may include activities such as:

  • Sewing
  • Measurements
  • Pattern drafting
  • Fabric cutting
  • Garment construction
  • Finishing
  • Creative design
  • Practical teamwork

Through regular practice, learners can improve both their technical ability and their confidence.

Moreover, practical sessions can help them develop patience, discipline and attention to detail.

Empowering Young People Through Skills

Young people need opportunities to discover what they can do.

Therefore, skills training can play an important role in helping learners identify their strengths and develop useful abilities.

At MIDAS, our approach encourages learners to learn, practise and excel.

First, learners gain knowledge.

Next, they practise through real activities.

Over time, they improve their technique and become more confident in applying what they have learned.

This journey can open the door to stronger personal and professional opportunities.

Founder’s Day and the MIDAS Mission

Today’s Founder’s Day message reflects the broader work we continue to do at MIDAS.

We believe that skills can strengthen people, careers and communities.

For that reason, our training focuses on practical learning rather than theory alone.

We want learners to leave each stage of their training with something useful they can apply.

As Ghana marks Founder’s Day 2026, we remain committed to supporting learners who want to build practical skills and prepare for brighter futures.

Happy Founder’s Day From MIDAS

On this Founder’s Day, MIDAS celebrates vision, courage and service.

We also celebrate the potential of every young person who chooses to learn a skill, practise consistently and use that knowledge to create opportunities.

Happy Founder’s Day, Ghana. 🇬🇭

May we continue to invest in knowledge, skills and opportunities for the generations ahead.

Learn • Practice • Excel.
